1916 Ministry of Finance, Peking (8 Aug) to Altay Amban via Siberia, f.w. Junk 10c in block but damaged on reverse, paying international rate, tied by Peking bilingual cds. Transit Manchouli (13 Aug), Manass (5 Apr). Arrived Altay (23 Apr). Altay became part of Sinkiang in 1919 after the independence of Mongolia.
1928 Shanghai (16 Nov) to Jin Shuren, Chairman of Sinkiang Provincial Government, Tihwa. Registered cover, f.w. Junk 1c + 4c in pair + 10c on reverse, tied by Shanghai bilingual cds., alongside with “Unite and Do No Forget the humiliation” patriotic label. Transit Sian (23 Nov), Lanchow (3 Dec). Arrived Tihwa (31 Dec).
1931 Tientsin (22 Sep) to Jin Shuren, Chairman of Sinkiang Provincial Government, Tihwa. Registered cover, f.w. Junk and its surch issues x16 on reverse, in total of 25c, tied by Tientsin bilingual cds. On front showing “Donation to Relief the 50 Million Yellow River Flood Refugees” promotional cachet. Transit Tahcheng (7 Oct). Arrived Tihwa (16 Oct).
1932 Soche (20 Feb) to Sweden. Pre-printed Sven Hedin Expedition double-registered cover, f.w. Junk ovpt. Limited For Use in Sinkiang x9, in total of 90c, tied by Soche bilingual cds. Transit Ierhkoszetang (26 Feb). Arrived Lund. Mails via Ierhkoszetang are much more scrace than via Tahcheng. 1917 St. Petersburg (11 Dec) to USA. Reigstered cover, f.w. Russian Coat of Arms 15k + 25k, tied by St. Petersburg cds., alongside with registered label, Russian censor mark and label. Transit New York (1 Mar). Arrived Chicago (2 Mar). This cover was sent during Russian Civil War and before the end of WWI, taking 3 months to deliver.
1922 Italy (18 Feb) to Taheiho, f.w. Emmanuel III 40c in vertical pair, tied by Rome meter stamp. Transit Shanghai (15 Apr) with meter stamp. Transit Harbin (Apr). Arrived Taheiho. With original letter.
1918 Arkhangelsk (16 Jan) to Bombay via sea route. Russian 5k PSC, uprated by 3k ,tied by Arkhangelsk cds. Transit Shanghai (28 Apr), Dhanushkodi (1 Jun). Arrived Bombay (8 Jun). The card was sent during Russian Civil War and Trans-Siberian Railway was not available. Sea route was adopted from Arctic Ocean to Indian Ocean via Pacific Ocean. 5 months were spent.
