Cat No: Collection
Accumulation of Mint Never Hinged Centennial Postage Dues, 1973-1978, with many hundreds of stamps, including singles, blocks, and primarily plate blocks (including some matched sets), in 20 double sided Vario-style stock pages. A few of the stamps have been identified by the owner, most of which are from the 3rd or 4th issue, leaving the possibility of earlier issues with closer inspection, along with some stamps having current catalogue values added, noting Unitrade #J36a matched set of plate blocks (c.v. $60 total), along with a few other matched sets cataloguing $10 and up. A very fine, clean lot. (Image)

Cat No: CL13 var
1926 Patricia Airways "Style One" with Type B (25c) Route Inscription Omitted, used, with circular grid cancel, very fine. The omitted surcharge variety is extremely rare, with only a handful of singles known in mint condition and no covers, therefore as far as we know this is a unique used example, bearing the same postmark as was used on the CL13 covers. Accompanied by a 2024 Greene Foundation certificate. (Image)

1927 Patricia Airways "Style Two" with (5c) Horizontal Type D Overprint in Violet on Flown Cover, only 8 stamps (one sheet) were printed with this horizontal overprint, and this one is well tied on the front of a flown cover which left Red Lake on JUL.1.1927 and arrived Sioux Lookout on JUL.4.1921 (receiver on back, plus a second strike on the stamp). An extremely rare cover, as only about 5 covers were carried on the flight, of which only 2-3 were franked with this horizontal variety. Very fine, and an essential item for any serious semi-official airmail collection. (Image)
