1849 entire with unframed 'TRAFALGAR/("Augt/15/49")' on the face, to Westmoreland rated "1/2", transit b/s of 'MONTREAL/LC' in red, 'PENRITH/SP3/1849' in blue & superb undated arrival of 'POOLEY-BRIDGE' also in blue.
1895 illustrated envelope for Dr Ed Morin & Cie (Pharmacists) in Quebec, to France with Small Queens 1c pair & 3c, all manner of dangerous-sounding potions listed on the reverse.
1898DR Cameron, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia 'Dealer in Pianos, Organs and Sewing Machines' advertising cover with large illustration of an upright piano on the face, to Halifax with 3c red tied 'NEW-GLASGOW/N.S' duplex cancel.
1900 'GLORIA MUNDI' patriotic envelope with 'The Star-Spangled Banner' & 'The Old Union Jack' printed on the reverse, central fold & a little soiled; the same design on PPC used at 'WOLFVILLE/NS'; the same design with 'LEAGUE' added below 'ANGLO-SAXON' & advert on the reverse for GM Farrington Tailor (Picton Ont); and 1903 'THE MAPLE LEAF FOREVER' envelope used at Toronto; the first to GB, the others to USA. Very attractive.

1939 to Germany endorsed "via New York" with KGVI 5c tied 'PRESCOTT/AUG26/1939/ONT.' machine cancel (six days before outbreak of WWII), black 'EXAMINED BY CENSOR ("29")' cachet and blue 'MAIL SERVICE SUSPENDED' cachets applied on face, presumably returned to sender, couple of very minor blemishes. [This strongly suggests censorship was being conducted prior to the official outbreak of WWII, as mail would not ordinarily take almost a week to leave Canada on its way to the New York steamer for Germany; apparently the item was held back because of its contents until service was indeed suspended]
Pine Creek: 'PINE CREEK/DE10/02/SA' cds three strikes on Tannenberg 2½d x8 & curved 'REGISTERED/No...' h/s, on piece from a linen bag that probably contained ore samples. [Goldmining; Northern Territory]
Quorn-Alice Springs TPO: 'QUORN-ALICE SPRINGS/19MR37/TPO' superb strike on philatelic US 2c Reply Postal Card. Rated RRR. From Quorn-Stuart TPO 25.7.1930; renamed Central Australia Railway 11.3.1957. ['QUORN' & 'TPO' are in smaller letters. It is almost certain that this is a major recut, the cds being initially inscribed 'QUORN-OODNADATTA', the original form never having been seen]
Rumbalara: 'RUMBALARA/23AP40/C.A.' (= Central Australia) largely fine strike on Turley cover with central fold & minor spotting. Telegraph Office only 1.12.1930; closed 18.5.1943. [Central Australia was a separate administrative area between 1927 & 1931. The only 'CA' datestamps were issued to TOs at Rumbalara & Edwards Creek, in the far north of South Australia: see Lot 1328]
