June 1914 (AAMC.2) Melbourne - Sydney, special card prepared for the first official airmail flight, to be piloted by "Wizard" Stone; with 1d adhesive tied by SYDNEY roller cancel; Sydney address; manuscript notation in message panel.
6 August 1919 (AAMC.20a) Adelaide - Minlaton, un-numbered special card carried by Harry Butler across St. Vincent Gulf; with hand-written message, sending "a souvenir postcard by Aerial post. Hope you get it all right..." Rare.
August 1919 (AAMC.22a) Minlaton - Adelaide, flown special postcard with hand-written message headed "Minlaton 9th August 1919" with the message "Dear Dulcie, This card I am sending you with the second aerial mail to cross St. Vincents Gulf per your Uncle Harry, With Love from Auntie Sis"; a few bends and chips, but the return flight is rare.
"The Sir Ross Smith Flight" official souvenir programme produced for Union Theatres to accompany their screening of the documentary of the London - Darwin flight, titled "The Great Flight"; printed by Evans & Son., Castlereagh St., Sydney. Attractively bound in brown hard covers with gilt titles. An extremely rare piece of ephemera, only the 2nd copy we have offered.
4 December 1921 (AAMC.56b) (Narrogin) - Perth - Port Hedland cover, carried by W.A.A. to Geraldton and per the S.S.Bambra to Port Hedland, with arrival backstamp of 17th Dec.; "PERTH DERBY AERIAL MAIL" handstamp on front. Cat. $1250+.
17 April 1922 (AAMC.64) Geelong - Melbourne flown cover, bearing the blue "Herald Air Mail" vignette alongside the two 1d KGV adhesive, all of which are attractively tied by the GEELONG roller cancel.

2-4 June 1929 (AAMC.137a) Perth - Adelaide and Adelaide - Perth flown covers, carried on the Inaugural flights W.A. Airways Ltd; both covers signed by the chief pilot, Major Norman Brearley, (2).
4 June 1929 (AAMC.137a) A cover endorsed "AIR MAIL" carried on the first flight by W.A. Airways from FORREST W.A. to Adelaide by air; by rail to Sydney; by ship to the USA and then by rail to DELAIR, NEW JERSEY, with the Australian 6d franking covering the whole journey. An early example of internal airmail for a foreign destination.
19 Feb.1930 (AAMC.152a) Anthony's Lagoon - Camooweal flown cover carried by A.A.S. to link with the newly established Qantas service from Brisbane and signed by the pilot, Frank Neale. Cat.$400+.

QANTAS AIR MAIL VIGNETTES: May 1931 (AAMC.202c; Frommer 36b) "NORTH QUEENSLAND / Australia's Winter Playground" blue & white vignettes, complete strip (8), as issued, MUH.
7 June 1932 (AAMC.264) Darwin - Wyndham flown cover, carried by J.J. Thorpe in his Gypsy Moth and signed and endorsed by him "Carried from Darwin to Wyndham in Aeroplane VH-UPD Around Australia 6/6/32", [one of only 3 flown]. Cat.$500+.
11 January 1933 (AAMC.296) Sydney - New Plymouth (New Zealand) cover flown and signed by Charles Kingsford Smith and his crew (Jack Percival, P.G. Taylor, John Stannage) on the Second Trans-Tasman flight in the "Southern Cross"; with typed details on the rear flap indicating that the flight of 1,200 miles took 14 hours, 10 minutes. [10 flown; 10 others were postmarked at Gisborne]. AAMC - $1750.
Dec.1933 & April 1934 (AAMC.371a) A special souvenir card, carried twice aboard the "Faith in Australia" on Trans-Tasman flights; the first time in December 1933 signed by Boulton, Allan and Ulm; the second time in April 1934 signed by Rogers and again by Ulm with additional NZ 1d adhesive tied 12th April 1934 before the return flight to Australia. [Crome's records indicate that only 10 such cards were thus prepared and flown]. Cat.$500.
October 1934 (AAMC.428-29a) The Perth - Daly Waters Service operated by MacRobertson Miller: a comprehensive study on annotated album pages comprising of covers flown all-the-way in both directions, plus intermediates despatched from Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, Roebourne, Whim Creek, Perth, Carnarvon, Onslow, Hall's Creek, Port Hedland, Broome and Daly Waters. (19 flown covers). Cat.$2800+.
3 October 1934 (AAMC.429a) MacRobertson - Miller Aviation Co. first flight covers between Carnarvon and Broome, Perth and Ord River, and Broome and Perth; all with arrival backstamps. (3). Cat.$450.
October 1934 (AAMC.440) MacRobertson Air Race cover flown and signed by the pilots, McGregor & Walker; with special cachet; 3 Dec.1934 backstamped on return to Mildenhall. Cat.$300+.
25 March 1935 (AAMC.494-95) Narromine - Sydney and return flown covers, carried and signed by the pilot, Harry Purvis for WASP Airlines; both covers also with the attractive "WASP" Sydney Harbour Bridge vignettes affixed. (2).
The Last Flight of the "Southern Cross" 18 July 1935 (AAMC.514) a cover carried from Mascot to Richmond, with special vignette showing the route the aeroplane had followed around the world; signed by Charles Kingsford Smith.
2 August 1935 (AAMC.520a) Sydney - Tennant Creek flown cover, carried and signed by the pilot, J. Chapman on a Survey Flight for Australian Transcontinental Airways. [Believed to be one of 6 flown to each port-of-call.]
29-30 October 1935 (AAMC.551-2) Adelaide - Melbourne and return, first flight covers carried by Adelaide Airways Ltd on their inaugural service via Mt. Gambier in a Short Scoin VH-UUT. [Only 40 and 50 covers carried respectively]. (2). Rarely seen.
22 May 1936 (AAMC.602h & i) Mt. Isa - Townsville, and return, Airlines of Australia Ltd cacheted covers carried on their first survey flights over this route. (2 covers). Rarely seen.

March 1946 (AAMC.1035) Darwin - Laverton flown registered cover carried on the first Lincoln Mk.1 bomber to arrive in Australia; signed by all members of the RAAF crew and cancelled on arrival at Laverton RAAF P.O. One of only 6 carried, with numerous signatures and intermediate-stop datestamps.

circa 1962 sheetlet of 4 labels "This Company is taking EXPORT ACTION by QANTAS AIR CARGO" with full margins and full gum. A rare label produced by Qantas during the "Export Action" initiative which was initiated by BOAC in 1962 and which the Australian Government encouraged.
BRITISH AIRWAYS "CONCORDE" FIRST INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT: A souvenir photographic booklet "CONCORDE flight into the future" carried on board the flight from Sydney to Melbourne (AAMC.1761) and signed by Captain Brian Trubshaw and the rest of the crew; accompanied by a signed letter/certificate of authenticity from J. Dzeimidzik, President of A.P.A. (2 items).
9 June 1978 (AAMC.1846 & 1846a) Brisbane - Sydney and Brisbane - Ballina flown covers, carried by Ansett to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 1928 Trans-Pacific Flight by Charles Kingsford Smith and Charles Ulm; bearing more than 30 original autographs including Norman Brearley, Harold Litchfield, Lores Bonney, Skip Moody, Keith Virtue, Bob Boulton, Ellen Rogers, Harold Affleck, Jack Clancy, G.U. Allan, Harry Purvis, etc., a Who's Who of Australian Aviation. (Only 50 of each flown and signed).
The Schneider Trophy Contest 1929 - The Royal Aero Club Souvenir Programme - 72 pages with many photographs, including two full colour plates. Also, a map of the course and extensive details of the intended races. Multicoloured attractive Art Deco front cover.

3 December 1983 (AAMC.1970aa) Australia - New Zealand flown cover, signed by the QANTAS crew to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the "Faith in Australia" flight. Also signed by G.U. Allen, who had been on the original flight. [1 of 22 such covers originally overlooked by Crome; the new entry number will appear in the next edition of the Eustis catalogue.].
