'WAVE HILL/7OC34/N. T.' very fine arrival b/s on registered airmail cover from Derby WA, vertical fold. PO 13.10.1925; closed 7.12.1954. [Wave Hill is a pastoral station of some 13,500 square kilometers. In 1966, it was the site of the Wave Hill Walk-Off, a strike by 200 Aboriginal stockmen seeking better pay & conditions but also the return of the land to the Gurindji People. The strike lasted for 9 years & ended only when Lord Vestey of meatworks fame agreed to a small parcel of land being ceded to the local people. This was a key moment in the battle for Aboriginal Land Rights]

DARWIN' red R labels and another with 'Aust PO No.065' label, three airmail covers with either Adelaide or Melbourne civilian censor tape and 5½d Emu 'solos' tied Army POs 066 (Winnelie), 0127 (Adelaide River) & 230 (Darwin), plus 'UNIT POSTAL STATION/D. 13' boxed d/s on 4d Koala in black (1942; at Adelaide River) and on QM 1d in violet (1943; used at Banka Banka), a couple with minor blemishes but generally fine.
