Better items include very fine boxed 'AKYAB/POSTPAID/...' on 1836 large piece, boxed 'AKYAB/("54.1.24")/Paid ("8as")' light strike in red on 1854 outer to Netherlands, boxed 'AKYAB/SHIPLETTER/1858DE22/PAID___' (recorded 15 months only) very fine arrival backstamp in red on outer with similar 'CALCUTTA/...' datestamp, 'B/5'-in-concentric-octagons (#K4) two very fine strikes and boxed 'INSUFFICIENT' (ERD) on 1861 beautifully addressed cover to Calcutta, 'AKYAB/AP15/65 - 5 ' fancy duplex (KD6) & superb 'FORWARDED BY/RANGOON/NANABHOY CURJORJEE' cachet in blue on cover to Calcutta (our vendor paid £325), boxed 'REGISTERED/O ("Akyab")/...' (R4) on 1880 large-part cover, boxed 'REGISTERED/AKYAB/...' (R5) on 1882 cover (faults), boxed 'AKYAB/...' (R6; recorded by Proud for 9.4.1884 only) superb strike with 'AKYAB/SEP19' cds (no year) on cover (faults), boxed 'TOO LATE FOR AIR MAIL/[date]/AKYAB' on 1935 & 1938 covers, etc, also 'AKYAB-BAZAR/18AP/10/AKYAB' (ERD) very fine on KEVII ½a Envelope, boxed 'AKYAB BAZAR/AKYAB-DISTRICT' very fine on 1912 OPS Postal Card (faults), 1945 covers from Indian FPOs 595 & 612 both based at Akyab, etc, also 1937 Registration Envelope with very fine black/salmon 'Valeur déclarée/INSURED' label, condition rather mixed.
