Airmail cover sent by Air France on 30/MAR/1936 to a passenger onboard the steamer "Highland Patriot" (fowarded by E. Pinto Basto & C., LISBOA). The shipping agent in Lisboa received the cover after the ship had sailed to England, so he applied the backstamp: "RECEIVED AFTER STEAMER SAILED - FORWARDED BY - E. PINTO BASTO & Cª lº - LISBON", and forwarded it to the shipping company in London, and from there it was eventually redirected to Nuneaton. Minor defects from its long route, a cover of great rarity and very interesting to the specialist! (Image)
