Manchuria" return address, registered to Russia, Japan definitives 8s red & 10s blue pair tied by Character cds cancels, largely very fine 'DAIREN/I.J.P.O.' cds in violet with 'DAIREN (II)' violet cachet provisional red/white R label, and Japanese Character 'chop' in blue (later crossed out) on the face, indistinct arrival then redirected "Try to Moscow" in red pencil and '1 05 34' backstamp, a couple of minor blemishes. FOREIGN POST OFFICES - RUSSIAN: 1916 (Oct 28) WWI usage of Russian 3k Postal Card with 35mm Cyrillic POW cachet in violet, to a German engineer in Peking with 1k added, Cyrillic Peking cds of 3.11.16 and German 'PEKING/16.11/16/DEUTSCHE POST' cds, two filing holes at the base otherwise very fine. The message written in German from a POW who requests tobacco & old newspapers in German English or French & states papers from neutral territories (as was China) are permitted. JAPANESE OCCUPATION: 1941-43 range of overprints on Sun Yat-sen & Martyrs issues predominantly mint many unmounted in three small old-time stockbooks including many blocks of 4 and some larger multiples noted 'Large Shantung' Overprint on Sun Yat-sen 2c green irregular block of 36 from the lower-left corner of the sheet with Plate Number '4A', also a little Japanese Occupation of Burma and some earlier China issues mint & used, condition variable but most are fine to very fine. Plenty of potential for discoveries in here.

JAPANESE OCCUPATION: 1943 North China Overprints on New Peking Printings Sun Yat-sen $2 brown & blue SG 160 block of 4 from the upper-right corner of the sheet with the upper-right unit Partly Imperforate at Right due to Paper Fold and the mis-placed perforation running diagonally through the right-hand margin, Sheet Number '8 480' in Black in the upper margin annotated "16" in pencil, minor creasing as to be expected, a fold and tear along the missing perforation line sensibly re-inforced, the other three units unmounted.
