image Ascension, 1924-33. 8d Grey-Black and Bright Violet (SG 17c & 17d / SC 18 variety). A rare and compelling Plate 1 corner block of four from the King George V bi-color issue, bearing two of the sought after constant plate flaws on a single multiple. The top left stamp displays the "Shamrock Flaw" while the bottom left carries the "Cleft Rock" flaw, each a documented constant on this issue. Some gum toning noted. An unusual positional block seldom encountered with two distinct flaws. Original gum, hinged. F-VF. SG £630. Estimate: $200–$300. (Image)
