South Australia. 1882 (Nov 9) Cover with printed heading "Advertise in the "NARRACOORTE HERALD" and "WITHOUT LETTER From Herald Office, NARRACOORTE", the reverse entirely covered by a printed advert "Every Resident of Narracoorte ..... should subscribe to the Narracoorte Herald ...... Printing of every description at town rates ....", sent at the 1d printed matter rate with a diagonally bisected 2d stamp accepted as valid and tied by Narracoorte c.d.s, the printed "without letter" inscription circled with "OK" alongside, redirected from Sydney to Adelaide with backstamps of both places. Opened out, reverse with minor edge faults at left and small piece of flap missing from the corner, otherwise fine, an exceptionally unusual acceptance of a 2d bisect on an early advertising cover.
