PICTURE POSTCARDS: Extensive range from early 'Court' cards including 'Post Office' vignette view on light blue stock used 1901 to the Cape of Good Hope and 'Sugar Cane Dealer in Sheikh Othman' used 1903 from Ceylon to Scotland, a few real photos one showing sporting grounds with cricket & football matches in progress, plenty of Undivided Backs, many less-common views such as 'Lahej Market Place', 'Gardafui The Lion' with imprint for Hajee Mahomed Hamad, Karachi & Aden, 'EG Hospital' , 'Alue Moschee' [Mosque] & 'Maalha' vignette views, 'Perim Island' used 1907 to England, 'Hint Island', 'The Pet Lion at Messrs Cowasjee Dinshaw & Bros', 'Hotel de l'Europe', ' Grand Royal Hotel', 'Quarantine Island', 'Mahallah' docks issued by The Anglo-Italian Grocery Store, etc, hardly any duplication, a few with mostly minor blemishes but generally fine to very fine. The most wide-ranging group we have seen.

PICTURE POSTCARDS: 1900 (circa) 'Court' cards published by J Benghiat & Son for the Turkish Shop at the Hotel de l'Europe with their imprint at the top of the address side, all-different coloured views comprising 'Arabian Fair' showing a locally-built Ferris wheel, 'Arabian Coffe Shop' with clientele occupying the al fresco seating, 'Sugar Cane Dealers' x2 one with stall, the other with camel, 'Aden Camp' 'Camel Market', 'Post Office', 'Somali Soldiers', 'Arab Marriage', 'Arabian Dancers' (corner crease), plus black & white 'Arab Dance', condition mostly fine to very fine. A scarce group.
