SG PRINTED 'CROWN' ALBUM FOR KGVI ISSUES: The well filled album with the mint (predominantly) and used British Commonwealth collection. Missing some of the difficult, highly catalogued issues incl. 1937 Burma, Bahrain, Indian States, Falklands, Kuwait, NZ Postal Fiscals/Officials, New Guinea, etc. but otherwise, a solid collection with room for expansion. INTERNATIONAL GOLD MEDAL WINNING 'ROSES' THEMATIC COLLECTION: Three box files housing the 120+ display pages with the superbly presented collection of stamps, proofs, Postal stationery, cards & covers, etc. Although some items have been removed, there remains a valuable collection for improving or breaking down. Many of the covers were originally retailed at £100+. Some strength in early USA covers with rose related town names e.g. Prairie Rose, Iowa. A selection of 'fancy' cancels on covers incl. Sharon, Pennsylvania, Rose, Oklahoma (this on an illustrated 'Mother's Day' env.), Rose Lawn, Indiana, Red Rose, Alabama, etc. Of particular note, a superb 13 Sep. 1863 cover with 'Amherst Rose' cancellation - a rare cancel with restricted usage. We note a very fine range of mainly German, early 19th. C. privately produced Postal stationery cards with colourful rose related imagery. Also a small range of GB QV 1d pink printed envs. and 1839 Whiting essay. A fine trio of early covers from Rhodes to France plus Austrian PO in Levant issues. Better stamps include NSW 1861 5/- optd. "SPECIMEN", Victoria 1884-96 4/- orange-red mint, Switzerland 1845 Geneva 5c green on piece, 1850 10r Rayon II with Certificate, etc. Many unusual items incl.
