BOER WAR 1902 censored cover to Cape Town with a Free State 1d with the thick 'V' variety, cancelled Springfontein JA.2.02. Censored with tape and initialled by the censor in blue crayon, the cover has a 'Passed Censor/Refugee Camp Springfontein, O.R.C' cachet. Springfontein Refugee Camp was the only camp in the O.R.C to have censor cachets identifiable by the camp's name. A Cape Town 4.JA.02 arrival cancel is on the back. (Image)
