1850, 8 c., black on green, "Cotton Reel", a round example initialed EDW - Edmond Dalzell Wight, clerk to the colonial post office, with deep paper colour, neatly cancelled by July 13th 1851, DEMERARA circular date stamp, trivial thin at the edge bottom right is mentioned for full accuracy, overall condition of this example is far SUPERIOR, the impression initials and cancel are all quite clear, cancellation and handstamp fits perfectly, Ex Ferrary - with his distinctive trefoil handstamp on reverse, certificate BPA, VF-XF!.
