Worldwide Singles, Sets and Collections
Aland
Sale No: 7
Lot No: 450
Symbol: **
Cat No: 1-464

image Collection of Mint Never Hinged Aland, 1984 to 2022, all neatly displayed in four Lighthouse padded albums with slipcases. The collection appears to be complete in period and includes complete booklets, souvenir sheets, sheetlets, singles, sets, etc. We encountered examples where there is a single and a block, or sheetlet of the same issue. Also includes a dozen vending machine "Frama" stamps not listed in Scott. A very fine and fresh collection, obviously a labour of love which would be difficult to duplicate. (Image)

Lot No: 451

image Extensive Mint and Used Belgium Collection, 1849-1966, all on computer generated pages in two Lighthouse binders with slipcases. Quite an extensive collection including regular issues, Semi-Postals, Postage Dues, Airmails, Officials and Parcel Post / Railway stamps. Throughout the collection there are high value singles, sets and a few souvenir sheets (some of the S/S not present are represented by singles from the sheet). There is a mix of mint and used - the used often have nice c.d.s. cancels and the mint is almost all hinged, except for a few exceptions such as some early Postage Dues and a few souvenir sheets. See pictures for a good glimpse into this clean collection. Catalogue value is for regular issues only up to 1957 plus all of the Semi-Postals, Postage Dues and Officials, plus only a few of the first Railway sets. What was not counted are two stock pages of Precancels and most of the Railway stamps, plus a cover and a few odds and ends, including some unissued souvenir sheets. Nice overall quality, fine to very fine. (Image)

image Collection of Used King George VI British Commonwealth, neatly displayed alphabetically in four like-new Stanley Gibbons KGVI stamp albums (with slip cases). We counted approximately 1,850 different stamps, most of which have nice, clean c.d.s. cancels. We noted several complete sets (appears to have all the U.P.U. sets complete, for example) including some, but not all high values (for example we only 5 or 6 high values of the 1949 Silver Wedding pairs). A great collection on which to expand upon. Click here for a PDF sampling of this lot. (Image)
