image Worldwide, "Larger than Life" Colossal Accumulation of Stamps & Covers, An entire pallet's worth of cartons from a former dealer in business for decades. Old albums, stockbooks, shoe boxes, and glassine files with a staggering amount of stamps and covers as well as some mixed US and Worldwide Banknotes. Appears to be the usual mix, until you dig a little deeper; suddenly discoveries are made, like unearthing two used PEXIP sheets or stockcards of U.S. newspaper proofs and locals mixed in with inexpensive material. And more than likely, there's much more waiting in the wings. Lots of U.S. including a ton of face with sheets, blocks and annual mint sets. Obviously, this lot needs to be assessed on site, but if you have the patience, there is tremendous potential here for the reseller, overall Fine to Very Fine. image Worldwide, "Journey into the Unknown" Mint & Used Holding in Glassine Files, 1840-2010, At first glance, this lot of 22 boxes of varying sizes containing glassines & "102" cards seems organized. And nearly the entire world is covered to some degree with heavier quantities of United States and Canada. Here are just some of the better sets & singles which caught our eye: Canada mint #53 (block), 61, 66-73, 89-95, 99 (block), 101 (block of 8), 102-03, 217-27, used F3, Danish West Indies used 5a, Finland used 24, 56, German Offices in China mint 1c, Germany mint C38, Great Britain used 1, 181, Russia mint 678-86, 698-705, C30-33, United States mint 299, 375a, Q7-9, Q11 and much, much more including U.S. revenues with plenty of Ducks, many on licenses and a lot of U.S. postage throughout. If there ever was a lot worth the time looking through, this is it! overall Fine to Very Fine, some random photos online indicative of the lot itself. Shipping charges apply - weight 61 lbs. image Worldwide, "The 'Fun' in Dysfunctional" Sprawling Accumulation of Stamps, Covers & Paraphilately, 1841-1990s, There are accumulations which are immediately apparent they hold little value and then there are accumulations like this one where nearly every box produces a bit of excitement. There are albums, some dating back to the 19th century, numerous stockbooks of worldwide mint & used, and various containers, cigar boxes, shoeboxes, even the good ol' Whitman's Sampler box stuffed with stamps. image Worldwide, "Finders Keepers" Mint & Used Holding in Glassine Files, 1850-2000, All of us strive to be organized, but for this dealer, it seemed because of the sheer quantity of their holdings, there simply weren't enough hours in the day. There are a dozen boxes of varying sizes all filled to the max with either glassines or "102" cards and pretty much a free-for-all. There are pockets of the same country, and in the case of Germany, three entire boxes, but one moment you could be looking at modern Korean booklets, and the next some exceptional Canadian classics. Quite frankly, you're never sure what you're going to find. And the other good news is, although it all seems in disarray, the majority of envelopes are marked with country and catalogue number, so with a bit of patience, most everything would be ready to go! Some better sets & singles while skimming through include mint Belgium #B123-24, Canada 53 (block of 6), 91-93, 99-100, 131-34, 203, 223-27, 244-45, 262, E1, Portugal 377-97, 422-36, Stellaland 1-5, United States 658-79, and used Barbados 149, Canada 14, 27a, 82-84, Danish West Indies 2, Falkland Islands 8, 17, 18a, Great Britain 85, 96, 108, 117, Panama 1 (with certificate), Sweden 2, 10-12, 27, and much, much more including U.S. revenues with plenty of Ducks, many on licenses and a lot of U.S. postage throughout. Three more very attractive mint collections in White Ace albums, again all in black mounts, beginning with a nearly complete collection of the Vatican (1929-82) and such better as 19-34, 47-54, 155a, 173, a complete collection of Israel (1948-69) including booklets, coil strips, and postal stationery, and complete United Nations (1951-69). Much more to peruse, like a gigantic mint sheet album filled with hundreds of full sheets, mostly from Japan & the Ryukyus, Liechtenstein, Israel and the United States. Some sticking was noticed but in most cases appeared to be separable without damage. Unfortunately not the case with the many better souvenir sheets in glassines, such as Switzerland B105 & B206 and a dozen sheets of Liechtenstein 395. These seemed to have succumbed to the elements through improper storage, yet some of this may still be salvageable. Definitely should be examined on-site, but some additional images are available online, overall Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 99 lbs.
