Contract Air Mail (CAM) Cover Collection, 1926-2008, about 750 better envelopes from a lifetime aerophilatelist, consisting of an exhibit, pair of Scott binders with handmade pages, and 5 binders; US Airlines - The Formative Years is an 8-frame exhibit of Contract Air Mail (CAM) organized by carrier instead of route; Airlines in the exhibit include American, United, Eastern, TWA, Western, Northeast, Central (Clifford Ball), Philadelphia Rapid Transit, and Curtiss Flying Service; the exhibit includes colorful baggage labels and is well researched; about 235 covers from the CAM period (1926-1934) are beautifully presented on typed Scott quadrille pages in a pair of like-new album binders; the remaining cover binders each have a "flavor"; the Showgard oversized binder has 50 envelopes of mostly Clipper mail but includes a great transcontinental Postage Due and a 1947 Alaska Crash Mail envelope; a plump Showgard binder has 120 covers including Prexie Solo Clipper mail, some early CAMS signed by the pilot, and Service Suspended with censor tape, and about half modern flight from the 1980s; a Showgard binder on its last legs has 40 better examples of WWII censor tapes along with a few modern first flights; a Showgard binder with about 75 envelopes seems to be exclusively WWII transpacific mail with a small smattering of transatlantic Service Suspended mail; and lastly 150 envelopes stuffed in a Showgard album with much modern Boeing flown first flight (and sometimes signed) material; the story of American aviation told through philately, Fine to Very Fine. "Counter Attack" Mint & Used Holding in Counter Books, 1861-2017, Some people prefer to store their duplicates in glassines while others prefer stockbooks. For this particular collector, it was all about counter books, and it was probably a wise move, because when it comes time to sell, it is far easier to view the inventory.
