5c red brown Franklin Imperforate on 1850 Folded Cover, mailed from Calais, Maine (lovely c.d.s. in red) to New York City and docketed inside "NOV.6.1850". The cover (no contents) is franked with a horizontal pair of 5c Franklin imperforates, with huge margins on three sides (showing parts of two stamps at top) just cut into at bottom left, neatly tied by two circular grids in red. 5c light orange brown Franklin Imperforate on 1851 Folded Letter, mailed from Philadelphia (postmark illegible, but letter inside clearly datelined MAY.7.1851) to Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. The folded letter is franked with a 5c light orange brown, with huge margins (showing next stamp at top) all around, slightly cut into at bottom and cancelled by a partial blue c.d.s. 1893 Columbian Exposition Issue Mint Stock, all on a black stock page, with values from the 1c to the 50c (no 15c), with blocks of four of the 1c and 5c and quantities up to 7 of some of the singles. Overall fine, and we noted a few stamps with thins or creases, a few with straight edge and the 50c is trimmed at one side.
