image EXTENSIVE C & C HANDPAINTED FDC COLLECTION, includes 248 different covers, all are handpainted by C. Conyers, the collection starts with 1983 issues and runs to about 1992, contained in two cover albums and a group of loose cover pages, the collection includes several better covers: Express Mails(4) and Federal Ducks(9); there are several combination covers with various issues, this particular artist has always been extremely popular due to the colors and details he produced, also most of the covers he did had very limited printings with most being 20 or less, the overall condition is very clean with maybe a scattered fault, early covers generally retail in the $100-250 range, the Express and Ducks often sell in the $250-300 range, then values are generally in the $50-75 range for many of the covers, a truly amazing collection and easily the most extensive collection of this artist that we have ever seen, because of the low numbers available these covers are rarely offered in the marketplace let along in a collection of this size, the approximate retail value of this group is well over $25,000.
