UNITED STATES: Collection of several hundred on album pages, mostly used to 1920, o.g. thereafter, fairly complete but for the higher value stamps, but quite nice with better centering than normal, 5 value to 90c, Columbian to $1.00, Trans Mississippi to the $1.00, 20th century, Liberty, Kansas - Nebraska, coils, back of the book, etc. An attractive group.
UNITED STATES: 1851 to 1909; several hundred primarily used on old-time Schaubek album pages, values to 90c in complete sets, including Columbian $1, $2(2) $3 (faults, many stuck down by old time hinges - should not affect used stamps), also some useful Officials, Hawaii, condition is mixed and well worth a look.

UNITED STATES: Postal History; 1870's Bank Note Issues used to Japan ;Group of 14 envelopes, from the Benjamin Lyman correspondence (no enclosures). From Northampton Mass to Yokohama or Yedo, 5 with 10c brown, 4 with 15c orange, 4 with 1c, 2c, 3c, combinations, 6 with Japanese transits or receivers, two forwarded. Condition varies but a rare group to a famous man.

UNITED STATES - British Solomon Islands: United States Military mail covers, majority 6c stationery, but many franked. 154 in total. All written up on pages or loose, 3 period photographs separated and the rest in Jim Forte lot pochettes (55), with good descriptions and priced $10 to $25 each. Also Vmails (7), some maps, letters. Telegrams, information. A fabulous group with much of the work done.
UNITED STATES: 1942 - 1945 British Solomon Islands: WWII Military covers (not documented) approximately 500 in total. 1942-45, probably most from Soloman Island area, majority 6 c stationery, though some franked,also letters, some photos including Wild Cat at Guadalcanal, 27 Vmails, documents, maps, great for research. Obviously extensive.
UNITED STATES: POSTAL HISTORY: 1920's to 1849; A Famous NY Local Training Ship U.S.S. Briarcliff 1920's to 1940 history told in letters, newspaper clippings, and photos of this fondly remembered ship based in Staten Island New York City, as part of the 3rd Naval District 33 Division. One of the trainees was John Cody who became 2nd Engineer on board the Antartic Expedition. Includes a cute letter and radiogram from "Little America". Contained all in one fat ring binder, very nostalgic.
