Registered letter wrapper-receipts saw fairly extensive use during the Provincial period; many postmasters, particularly in the Maritimes, however, continued the practice after Confederation despite their use being formally prohibited in 1875.(Image1)

The "Parana" made only three contract voyages for the short-lived Galway Line before the company's financial troubles and lost contracts forced them to suspend operations.(Image1)

Fandy (?) / Trepassy Railway / Newfoundland,” light edge faults and aging, but remarkably well preserved considering its journey, a rare supplementary mail cover (AAMC FF-28c), signed Alberto Diena; with 2008 Raybaudi certificate.
Marchese Francesco de Pinedo reached Trepassey, Newfoundland, on May 20, 1927, during his round-the-world flight aboard the Santa Maria II. On May 23, he departed in an attempt to reach Rome via the Azores.(Image1)
