image Collection of Mint and Used Portugal and Portuguese Colonies, 1853-1938, with roughly 1,000 stamps, neatly organized, in a 64 page stockbook. We note 25 used embossed classics ranging from 1853 to 1864, including Scott #15 (c.v., $77), along with a few stamps cataloguing $10 and up. The lot continues with 93-95 (used, $282 total), 97-109 used set ($301 total), along with some stamps and sets cataloguing $20 and up including 147-154 (used, $50 total), 315-345 (used, $52 total), 422-436 (used, $71 total). The lot also includes Portuguese Colonies with better representation from Azores, Cape Verde. Mozambique, and Madeira, just to name a few, noting Madeira #2 (used, $150), along with stamps cataloguing $10 and up. The lot concludes with a second stockbook of modern issue from the early 1980s, including roughly 20 souvenir sheets and 40 first day covers. Online photos show a sampling. image Collection / Accumulation of Portugal and Portuguese Colonies, 1853-2009, with many thousands of stamps, well organized in two stockbooks, and roughly 50 manilla stock pages. The collection begins with a stockbook containing roughly 270 mint stamps, along with roughly 20 souvenir sheets, ranging from Scott #18/2463. A cursory check indicated Scott 2023 catalogue #s and values 437-452 (m.h., c.v. $88 total), 453-489 (m.h., $128 total), 605-614 ($69 total), 602a (m.h., $75), 614a (m.h., $125), 682a (m.h., $145), along with a few stamps, and partial sets cataloguing $10 and up. The stockbook continues with roughly 950 used stamps, ranging from Scott #2/3090, with roughly 65 pre-1900 stamps, including Scott #93 ($110), along with stamps and sets cataloguing $20 and up. The lot continues with a stockbook containing roughly 800 mint and used Colonies, with better representation from Funchal, Portuguese Africa and India, along with collections of Colonies, in well organized manilla stock pages, with better representation from Azores, Mozambique, Angola, just to name a few. Owner's 2014 Scott catalogue value totals $5,317. The lot also includes a collection of mint and used Spain and Colonies in a stockbook and album, with roughly 1,000 stamps, ranging from Scott #174/3893, with a few stamps, sets, and partial sets cataloguing $20 and up. Owner's 2014 Scott catalogue value totals $3,553. Total 2014 Scott catalogue value in excess of $8,870 for the lot. Online photos show a sampling.
