1859 Liberty NGC AU55. A very scarce gold eagle in any grade, Garrett and Guth say this of the 1859, " . . . virtually every survivor is circulated, mostly in XF or worse, rarely in AU . . . . . . . " Of the combined PCGS and NGC population of 309, only 5% are uncirculated and all in the lower unc grades. The present example is in the top 25% of the population, and offers a significant opportunity for the advanced gold collector. (Image)

1878 NGC MS61. A couple obv copper spots but beautiful luster and semi-prooflike surfaces. Garrett and Guth note that while the 1878 is a relatively common issue for $3 Princesses, " . . . the 1878 issue features rich, coruscating luster and good to great eye-appeal . . . . but proof-like examples are relatively rare." As such, the present example represents a premium type coin. (Image)

1892-O ANACS Fr-2 a very worn original w/ no damage other than honest wear. (Image)
1812 O-105 F. (The obv on O-105 is known for being weakly struck.) This coin has a prominent die crack going thru the 8 in the date, making it appear to be an O-106, but there is no evidence of the rev crack that is diagnostic for 106, so O-105 is the variety. (Image)
