mail censorship 1815, folded letter from Hamburg to Bordeaux / France, cancellation Thurn and Taxis cancel Z1 R. 4. Hamburg (Feuser / Muenzberg number 1349 - 8, R4 = post from the 4. Rayon after the postal agreement Thurn and Taxis and France from 14.12.1801), the letter was at the 7.4.1815, this means just after the Return from Napoleon Bonaparte from Elba (so-called 100 days domination), written and from the same reasons of the Prussian army Police return salaries and censored (1815 was Hamburg from Prussian and swedish militaries occupies), censorship stamp single circle royally: PREUSS. army = Police at back, rarity: to Karl Kurt Wolter inventory the Prussian Police-censorship in Hamburg for closely three months (April to June 1815), it might accordingly only very few documents with this very old censorship stamp have been preserved be, the here existing cancel belongs to the type I (hyphen between army and Police), opportunity for the large Prussia and censored mail collector, good condition POSTZENSUR 1815, Faltbrief aus Hamburg nach Bordeaux / Frankreich, Abstempelung Thurn- und Taxis-Stempel Z1 R.4.HAMBURG (Feuser / Münzberg Nr. 1349 - 8, R4 = Post aus dem 4. Rayon nach dem Postvertrag Thurn und Taxis und Frankreich v. 14.12.1801), der Brief wurde am 7.4.1815, d.h. kurz nach der Rückkehr von Napoleon Bonaparte aus Elba (sog. 100 Tage-Herrschaft), geschrieben und aus dem gleichen Grunde von der preußischen Armee-Polizei zurück gehalten und zensiert (1815 war Hamburg von preußischen und schwedischen Truppen besetzt), Zensurstempel EKr KÖNIGL: PREUSS. ARMEE= POLIZEI rs, Rarität: nach Karl Kurt Wolter bestand die Preußische Polizei-Zensur in Hamburg für knapp drei Monate (April bis Juni 1815), es dürften demnach nur sehr wenige Belege mit diesem sehr alten Zensurstempel erhalten geblieben sein, der hier vorliegende Stempel gehört zur Type I (Bindestrich zwischen Armee und Polizei), Gelegenheit für den großen Preußen- und Zensurpost-Sammler, gute Erhaltung (Image)
