Military Payment Certificates, 1946-73, a group of 102, issued under the authority of the Dept. of War, then the Department of Defense for use by the US Military, not redeemable for US currency since 1973; Fifteen Series were created but only 13 were issued this group includes Series 461, 471, 472, 481, 521, 541, 541, 591, 611, 641, 661, 681, and 692 in varying denominations from 5¢ - $20. High value items of note are Series 521 50¢; Series 681 $5 (x3), $10 and $20; Series 692 $10 and $20.
