image Politics, 1935/1995 collection of Canadian political philately, including more than 130 free-franked items from a “who’s who” of mostly 1970s and 1980s Members of Parliament and Senators, among them former Prime Ministers Joe Clark and Jean Chrétien, as well as Michael Wilson, Ed Broadbent, Flora MacDonald, Lincoln Alexander and many others, with several challenging Postal Stationery Form 95 covers used for the post-election return of polling-station results to candidates, together with approximately 75 items related to former Prime Minister John Diefenbaker and the 1980 17c memorial stamp, including 25 Form 95 covers from his various elections, first day covers, one signed by stamp designer Bernie Reilander, singles and plate blocks, with two stamps showing the one-bar tagging variety, one at left and one at right, an unusual group from a seldom-offered collecting area, overall very fine.
