A scarce used example of Antigua’s first stamp issue, this unwatermarked Queen Victoria Perkins Bacon engraving bearing a clean “A02” St. John’s grid cancel with vibrant blue-green color and four margins, clear at left, rough perf. The 1984 Royal Philatelic Society certificate notes “perforations improved,” which has been considered and reflected in the estimate. Used. F-VF. SG £800 / SC $600. Estimate: $150–$200. (Image)
