image Premium Airmail and Admiral Byrd Cover Group, consisting of 1) three first flight covers for each leg of the new service between San Juan, Ponce, Mayaguez & Vieques, each cover had to carry US postage and the semi officials to prepay mail to the US, each cover with US No. C10 and 1 or 2 (five total) of the seven Sanabria listed semi official stamps, scarce as a complete set, all addressed to Spencer Anderson on Nassau St.; 2) Albania, 1933 (19-22 Aug), 5th South America Flight, Friedrichshafen-Recife registered cover to Brazil franked with 85q tied by Shkodêr c.d.s.'s 14 Aug, Friedrichshafen departure c.d.s. 19 Aug, backstamped Rome & Tirane but no Recife receiver (Michel 327; €450 ($600). Sieger 226A), 3) 1936 1st North America Flight, two return leg covers (Sieger 409 B, 409 C), one addressed to Germany, the other to Pennsylvania, each with US C18 (one solo, one with additional postage), each with flight cachet on front and Frankfurt May 14 receiver (Type I or III) on reverse, 4) US C11 block of 4 on Oct. 1928 first flight Loredo TX to Mexico; 5) US Zeppelin flown cover with Nos. 570-573 & C11, 6) Hindenburg flown cover to Germany, 7) Zeppelin flown cover from Brazil to the USA 24 May 1930; 8) complete set of 9 FAM 18 first flight covers with Pan American matched typed address; 4 Byrd covers including 1930 event signed "R.E. Byrd", TLS "Dick Byrd" on Byrd Polar Expeditions letterhead and cover with same corner card, and another cover signed "Bernt Balchen, Pilot over South Pole, 29 Nov. 1929", Very Fine, fully imaged online.
