1880-88, French Canal Company bonds, six different, comprising the following: Compagnie Universelle du Canal Interoceanique de Panama bonds: 1880 blue with two fiscal stamps and 12 coupons remaining, 1882-83 pinkish red with 34 coupons, 1882-84 green with 25 coupons, 1883-84 black with 32 coupons, 1885-86 brown with 32 coupons, and 1888 red with 11 fiscal stamps (3 different), a diverse and attractive group, an interesting glimpse into the failed french effort and an important piece of Panama Canal history, generally Very Fine. 1879-1965, collection (Scott 1/458, B-O-B), exciting accumulation, mounted on album pages and box of covers, appears to be several collections combined, contains an impressive selection of early issues, particularly strong in the map issues to peso values and numerous blocks and varieties, a nice run of later issues to around 1965, extensive back of the book issues included, also included is a medium box of covers and mint and used postal stationery, diverse and interesting group, certainly worthy of a good look, needs a lot of work but would make an excellent basis for study, expansion or breaking down, much is Very Fine.
