Last year, strong demand for stamps, record prices and record numbers of bidders were the norm. The market is still gaining momentum with no signs of slowing down.
You will note that there are fewer lots than usual, a reflection of difficulties with travel and the extremely strong stamp market in 2021. However, it is an interesting sale nevertheless and you will find some unusual offerings. Lots 1158 to 1186
feature United States including the zeppelin airmails. Our Canadian large lots have been extremely popular of late and you will find a large selection starting at lot 1189. The singles and sets section is also extensive, particularly in the Admiral
Issue and the Queen Elizabeth II period. We have seen a reawakening of interest in demand for modern errors and varieties over the last year. Some of the other countries of note are Malta, Ascension and St. Helena.
If you are also looking forward to travelling, remember that we will be attending two international shows next year in London, England and Toronto respectively. It’s always nice to combine a vacation with a stamp event! Full details of these shows
are available on their websites:
www.london2022.co and www.capex22.org
We continue to improve our website and welcome your suggestions for further changes. Visit at www.easternauctions.com. Please remember to bid early, especially if mailing your bidsheet. Good luck in the auction.
