242 image1919 CANADA 3¢ PAQUEBOT RATE to ST-LUCIA, a cover mailed on board the Union Steamship RMS CARAQUET on APR19,1919 and addressed to Casteries-St-Lucia, posted on arrival at Montserat the same day + then via coastal packets to St-John's-Antigua on APR 19th + Casteries-St-Lucia on APR 28th, the Caraquet was a Canadian ship and a Canadian 3¢ Admiral stamp was used to properly pay the PAQUEBOT fee (2¢ Empire rate + 1¢ War Tax), the postal clerk at Montserat originally taxed the letter as a 5¢ UPU rate but realized the error and canceled the postage due, some travel damage UL and a bit of tropical foxing, still a rare and likely unique Admiral rate cover, VG-F est ($300+ US) (Image)
