in octagon and Collect 3 Cents Po2c Vermilion (J30). Used with 1c Bright Claret (J22) and both cancelled by blue crayon on postcard to Dayton O., bearing Germany 5pf stamp (47) tied by "Heidelberg 31.7.94" circular datestamp, neat strikes of "T" in octagon and "Collect 3 Cents Postage" handstamps, 1c lifted to reveal Aug. 10, 1894 receiving handstamp, German stamp with closed tear at bottom, card with some creases and toned spots, still Very Fine, this is reportedly the earliest documented use of the 2c Vermilion Postage Due issue, with 2002 P.F. certificate (Image)
