587   Image3c Dull Red, Ty. III (26). Tied to small yellow piece by "Kingsessing Pa. Dec. 11, 186?" Eagle with Crossed Arrows and ornaments fancy datestamp cancel, a so-called "linen marker" style of cancel similar to the one used at Mechanicsburg, Indiana, the last digit of the yeardate is unclear as with other strikes we have seen, Very Fine strike and rare with only a few known, the only other example in Power Search is struck on a Dec. 10 cover with a 3c 1861 Issue stamp, which may indicate that the unclear yeardate in these cancels is 1861 -- which would make this a demonetized use, P.F. certificate no. 261401 no longer accompanies (states "Genuine") (Image)
