FINE AND EXCEPTIONALLY RARE SURCHARGE WITH ORIGINAL-GUM. LESS THAN SIX UNUSED EXAMPLES ARE BELIEVED TO EXIST.

Even with "traces" of original gum, this example has more than most as these are typically unused (no gum). A major rarity which is missing from even the most advanced British Commonwealth collections.

FINE. A DESIRABLE USED EXAMPLE OF THE UNDERVALUED WIDE "N", BY FAR THE RAREST OF THE 1881 OVERPRINTS.

The other six varieties of the 1881 Overprint are known to come from triplet settings. The setting for this stamp is unknown, but it is suggested it appeared only once on the setting of 60.
