2096 og ImageBANGKOK, 1883, 2c Rose, Triple Overprint (12c; SG 15c). Original gum, fresh color, clear tripling of surcharge though close together as all known examples

FINE AND EXCEPTIONALLY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT BANGKOK WITH TREBLE "B" OVERPRINT. ONE OF THE RAREST BANGKOK OVERPRINT ERRORS WITH JUST A FEW EXAMPLES KNOWN. IT IS ALSO THE ONLY VALUE FROM THE SERIES THAT EXISTS WITH A TRIPLE OVERPRINT.

While partial "double" and "triple" overprints exist on numerous values, in order to be classified as a "true" error, there needs to be clear and complete separate overprints. The example offered here has just that - three identifiable strikes of the "B" overprint.

With 2009 B.P.A. certificate. SG £10,000 (Image)
