LONG ISLAND, 1916, -1/2p on 20pa Green & Buff (SG 1). Lightly hinged, beautiful vibrant colors, nicely centered

VERY FINE. A HIGHLY DESIRABLE EXAMPLE OF THE VERY RARE LONG ISLAND 1916 -1/2p GREEN AND BUFF, STANLEY GIBBONS NO. 1.

Only 25 were printed. Gibbs records just twelve unused and four (including two on cover) used examples. Several of the unused have faults, making the example offered here one of the finest in existence.
