FINE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 60-REIS EARLY IMPRESSION "BULLS-EYE" ON COVER CANCELLED BY A PRE-ADHESIVE PERIOD STRAIGHTLINE TOWN MARKING ON THE ADDRESS SIDE OF THE COVER.

The Bull's Eye stamps were often affixed to the backs of covers. Examples tied on the face of the cover are much more desirable and scarce.

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN INCREDIBLY RARE TWO STAMP FRANKING OF THE 90-REIS FIRST ISSUE "BULLS-EYE". A MAJOR BRAZIL RARITY.

This cover traveled from Rio de Janeiro to Rio Pardo which is located about 100km to the east of Porto Alegre - a distance of over 1,700km. With 1990 E. Diena (as "sono perfetti") and 2015 Moorhouse certificates. (Image)

Due to the unexpected arrival of the Imperial East Asian Cruiser Squadron on July 2, supplies of the 5pf and 10pf stamps became exhausted. This Provisional was in use for only one day.
