EXTREMELY FINE GEM. AN EXTRAORDINARY QUALITY MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1877 5-CENT ROULETTED.

The rarity of No. 39 in this condition cannot be overstated. We have never seen another example that possesses the centering, margins, overall freshness and pristine original gum that this stamp has. In fact, when Dr. Killien purchased this stamp in the 2010 Crossings sale, after spirited bidding, he paid C$5,000.00, plus the buyer's premium.
