VERY FINE A CHOICE. A RARE AND DESIRABLE USE OF THE ONE-POUND CENTENARY ON COVER.

W. T. Wilson was a British stamp dealer who arranged to have to have new stamps sent to him on covers from all over the world, including complete sets and high values. When his covers first entered the marketplace, they were not well received, because they were thought of as purely "philatelic". However, today they are highly desirable, not only because they are sometimes the only way high values exist on cover, but also because they are fresh, clean and eye appealing.
