FINE APPEARANCE. THE FAMOUS "POCKET WATCH STAMP" NAMED BECAUSE CHARLES CONNELL'S SON KEPT IT IN THE BACK OF HIS WATCH.

This was given by Charles Connell to his son Herbert, who kept it in the back of his watch. Upon Herbert's death, it passed on to Kinsman Connell, Charles' grandson. It later became the property of Dr. George Frederick Clarke. Accompanied by a signed letter from Dr. Clarke attesting to the stamp's provenance. SG £10,000 (Image)
