VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A SCARCE COMPLETE SET OF ESSAYS ON INDIA FOR THE UNISSUED CONTINENTAL TELEGRAPH COMPANY STAMPS.

According to the Kramer book, Continental Telegraph Co. operated between New York and Philadelphia from 1878 until 1882, when the company was sold to Western Union. These essays were produced but no actual stamps followed.
