EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A MAGNIFICENT USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1894 15-CENT UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE IN THE FINEST CONDITION ATTAINABLE. THIS WONDERFUL STAMP HAS BEEN AWARDED THE GRADE OF SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E., WHICH IS THE HIGHEST GRADE AWARDED AND THE ONLY EXAMPLE TO ACHIEVE THIS GRADE.
Ex Natalee Grace. With 1999 P.F. and 2009 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $2,800.00). This is the highest grade awarded and the only example to achieve this grade. (Image)

VERY FINE. THIS IS THE EARLIEST RECORDED USE OF THE $1.00 1894 UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE.
This cover was prepared by Dr. Ernst Heusler of Heusler, Indiana. According to web sources consulted, the town was probably named for Dr. Heusler, who was the first postmaster when the post office was established in 1893.
