Clear strike of red oval handstamp on May 11, 1847 folded letter to Boston, carried privately and placed with Towle & Co. for 2c local delivery, no New Brunswick postal markings but since Hale & Co. had an office in St. John they could have carried it to Boston, Very Fine and scarce cross-border use (Image)
