1642   ImageStamp Box and Ephemera Balance. An incredible array of over 90 stamp boxes with a wide variety of sizes and shapes from one compartment to three or four, much of them are sterling silver, but also wood, porcelain, leather and brass, a few well-known names such as Tiffany & Co., Chester, Dudley and Walker & Hall, with most from the turn of the century thru 1930s, even an example dating back to 1874 (one of only 2-3 known), we notice a number of combination boxes, additional ephemera material incl. magnifying glass, small scales, letter opener and even moistening device for adhering stamps to envelopes, as with any collection this size, some small bumps are to be expected but nothing damaged to any large degree

A RARE OFFERING OF OVER 90 STAMP BOXES PLUS OTHER EPHEMERA. AN IDEAL FOUNDATION LOT FOR THE COLLECTOR LOOKING TO BUILD UPON AND CONTINUE THIS WONDERFUL ARRAY.

Each item was purchased as an individual lot from philatelic auctions over the course of many years. We notice quite a few of these retail hundreds of pounds each. (Image)
