Droege - Resilient Ventures Sale - RV11

Starter Country Collection Lots and African American Subjects on US Stamps - April 12, 2024

We've created a number of starter country collection lots with low starting bids. This is the best way to start collecting, you can purchase a large number of distinct stamps mostly already identified and placed on album pages. For many of the collection lots, we've included additional blank album pages for you to continue your collection. These can be placed in your own binders. A good suggestion is to accumulate several collection lots, merging them into one and then go after the more valuable stamps separately.

As you may notice, this sale has a number of country lots from the continent of Africa. I've also put together a number of United States stamps that feature African American subjects. The United States Postal Service has done a good job honoring African Americans over the years, starting with the high value of the Famous American Educators series where they honored Booker T. Washington. While these stamps are not rare, they are hard to come by, especially complete country collections of Africa Post independence. But don't go crazy on your bidding. The estimates are a good guide unless you are an experienced philatelist and notice that we did not pull any of the better items.

This is an auction. I have posted a video ( here ), which will help you understand how to register to place bids.
