Strong coverage of the 1851-57 1c-12c, highlighted by a 3c orange brown pair with PFC. The 1857-61 perforated stamps includes 1c and 90c, noted 5c Type II (30A) unused, a used 3c (25) with APS certificate, and 90c unused (regummed), with PFC. The 1861-66 include 1c-90c, with 90c used (PFC). 1867-68 grilled issues are well represented, including a 2c Z Grill with PSE certificate and a 15c F Grill with PFC. The 1869 Pictorials are complete 1c-90c, along with additional examples showing a range of cancels, varieties, and several proofs and essays. Highlights include a used 24c with PSE certificate, a used 90c with PFC, and a 2c Pictorial Reissue unused, without gum, with Weiss certificate. Subsequent issues include 1870-71 H and I Grills and a solid group of National Bank Note and Continental Bank Note issues to 90c, with PFCs for 30c and 90c values. The American Bank Note period is fairly complete, including a specialized study of the 2c small Bank Note issue focused on shades, plate varieties, and cancelations. Commemoratives include a complete set of 1893 Columbians 1c-$5, with the $2 used and other dollar values unused (without gum or regummed, except for the $4 hinged).
