835 c   1894-1911 Eight-frames exhibit (128 pages) covering Sino-Japanese War, Russo-Japanese War, Residency, General Period and Annexation, 150 covers or cards, presented chronologically and expertly described by Kenneth G. Clark. The story begins with a card from Incheon to Japan, sent through civilian post office on 11 August, 1894 (ten days after Sino-Japanese War was declared), with additional fieldpost usages by soldiers in the Japanese 1st Army, incoming and redirected mail, the only recorded military mail from Wei-hai-wei, registered at Field Post Office No.1 and sent to Incheon, German Naval card from "S.M.S. Hansa" at Pusan (Fusan), Russian mail from warship "Razboinik" at Masan, Italian Naval cards from "R.N.Calabria" at Chemulpo, cards with Korean franking, sent by German Naval officers ("S.M.S. Bussard", "S.M.S. Hansa", "S.M.S. Hertha"), various "Earliest Recorded" and "unique" items, British Army Observer mail (cards with Falcon franking), mail from United States gunboat "USS Vicksburg", British Army mail, French observer mail, Korea Occupation Army mail during the Russo-Japanese War,"Uch''eso" cancels (extremely rare and values $500-$2,000 each) and much more. An incredible presentation, may of the items originating from Ken Clark''s original Gold-Medal collection and illustrated in his 2009 "The History & Postal History of Japan''s Wars Volumes I and II", with a detailed priced inventory ($130,250 paid by the current owner). An uncommon opportunity to obtain an intact, historical exhibit.
