A small number of U.S. Military personal mail was aboard and it was forwarded from New York, with a mimeographed note "This letter was delayed due to the Air Disaster of Pan Am Flight 103, at Lockerbie, Scotland on 21 Dec 1988" (one of only 3 covers reported).
