Flight Covers (Fi.42a) 1926 (24 May) First Flight cover from Paris to Warsaw, continuing on to Peking, by Captain Georges Pelletier-Doisy, pilot and Henri Carol, flight mechanic (the crew was engaged in a long flight from Paris to Peking with
intermediate stops in Warsaw and Russia. During takeoff in Warsaw, the aircraft's main gear hit a pothole, broke and the plane ("Potez 25") was damaged beyond repair). A fine cover, signed by both aviators, with "Warszawa Port Lotniczy 25.V.25" pmk
(error year-date) on back, only 12 (!) carried, faint tone specks, with handstamped guarantee marks on front, v.f. (this cover is illustrated in Fischer, cat. 8,000zl)
