467 c   imageGREAT BRITAIN British Military Mission in Siberia 1919 cover and letter sent from Omsk to London by Quartermaster Captain James Arthur Boulton, 25th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment during the British military intervention in Siberia. Postmarked 24.3.19, with the correct 30 kopecks postage, circular handstamp of the Omsk military censor on the front, and two-line handstamp on back, reading "Examined by Military Censorship / Court Concillor Ginst." hs, also applied to each page of the letter, additional Postal Censor applied in London on front of the letter, which traveled east via Vladivostok (the regiment (800 men) arrived in Vladivostok on 3 August 1918, and in Omsk on 26 October. Three companies left Omsk for Vladivostok on 29 March. On the date of this letter, King George V awarded Boulton the Order of the British Empire), Illustrated in BJRP No.110 (Image)
